Can you master your multiplication facts before the end of the year? Students must correctly answer 40 or more out of 50 questions in two minutes.
Can you take it up a level by passing your division facts before the end of the year? Students must correctly answer 45 or more out of 50 questions in two minutes.
Can you accomplish the biggest feat with conquering multiplication and division sets? Students must correctly answer 49 or 50 questions in two minutes.
I use this free tool every Friday to determine if students have passed their current level of Multiplication or Division. No more wasted Friday fluency papers!
As soon as students enter my classroom there is a "Do Now" question displayed for them to answer quietly at their seats. While they complete this question, I'm walking around to check homework.
At the end of each lesson, students work on the daily independent or also known as an exit ticket. This allows me to see what gaps still need to be reinforced and what areas they are showing a strong foundation.
My math homework continues to spiral all year. Questions that students have difficulty with will see variations to that type of problem. Major standards are a focus point for the bulk of the nighty questions.
